Effectiveness of the Nitcomb-M2 is governed by the closeness of the steel pins or teeth. It has two rows of round tipped stainless steel teeth, one finely spaced (400 micron) and one extra finely spaced (193 micron) instead of the usually wide-spaced teeth of other products on the market today. During combing the shorter cylindrical length, fine and extra fine spacing between the pins and parallel rows, result in greater torque and therefore greater effectiveness in removing lice and their eggs & nits without tearing or pulling hair from the scalp.

Removal Process:

First the front row glides through the hair removing the large head lice, followed by the rear narrow row, which removes any smaller lice and eggs/nits that may be left behind. Efficiency of the comb is dependent upon the user, the frequency of combing and how well the instructions are followed.
